Critical Stats
Client:
BBI International, Salida, CO
Project Type: Service Contractor
Event & Locations:23rd Annual Workshop and Expo

Goals & Objectives

Having celebrated its 23rd anniversary this year, The International Fuel Ethanol Workshop is the ethanol industry’s largest and longest-running conference in the world.  Due to dramatic growth – 100% growth from 2006 to 2007 – BBI International and Valley were faced with many new challenges that needed to be overcome quickly.

A few of those challenges were: expanding the necessary exhibit space numerous times, communicating BBI International’s global presence as the leader in biomass resources and introducing BBI International’s Going Green Globally initiative www.goinggreenglobally.com

Solution

Logistically, the increase in new exhibitors led BBI and Valley to focus on expanding the show floor where the teams worked relentlessly as the show date drew nearer and nearer.  Additional halls were opened. The general session was moved. And an international pavilion was created.

As the leader in Biomass Resources, BBI International challenged Valley’s exhibit design team to make a dramatic statement with its corporate display which needed to contain space for each of the four corporate divisions as well as a private meeting room.  Valley designed and built a two-story structure with an enclosed private meeting room and an overhead observation deck.

To further introduce and communicate BBI International’s Going Green Globally initiative, we designed and fabricated a pavilion created to support multi-directional, personal interaction.  This interactive space effectively communicated the essential Going Green Globally initiative…a vital component to BBI’s message and brand.

Results

BBI’s expertise and Valley’s involvement resulted in the 2007 event being voted into 2007 TradeShow Weeks Fastest 50. Afterwards, Valley was named the convention service contractor for all BBI International- owned expositions through 2011 and will continue to cater to both the exhibitors and attendees, while at the same time sustaining BBI International's brand and help manage its growth.
